Large Tree Moving

Large Tree Moving

While the majority of situations do not call for an extremely large tree to be planted, some do. That is why Hilltown Tree & Garden works in conjunction with large tree movers across New England.
Jim hand selects every specimen then supervise every dig, transport and planting of the tree(s).
For the client who does not want to wait years for a tree to reach 30′ in height and spread the option of purchasing one of that size is there.

This Japanese Maple was selected from a tree farm in Central Massachusetts. It was then transported to a client’s property in the Smith College area of Northampton MA. This tree is 20’x25′. The tree is now flourishing in its new home.

This European Copper Beech came from a tree farm in Eastern Massachusetts. It was chosen out out 100’s of possible specimens to choose from. It was brought from the tree farm with an 11′ rootball. This is at the client’s property in Worthington MA 3 years after transplanting. This spring time photo catches it as it is just starting to leaf out. Its copper colored leaves match beautifully with the native columbine, Aquilegia canadensis. Three years after planting the tree is growing 24″ a year. This tree when brought in was 30’x25′.
